Had it for 5 months now, really glad I bought it. Few minor upgrades, listed below.
Stem: Hope 50mm FR (found the standard 100mm too long)
Tyres: Michelin Mountain All-Terrain 26x2.2 folding (bought for the winter, will probably run Maxxis high roller in summer)
Pedals: Shimano XT (sold the Crank Bro's it came with)
Hope seat post clamp and stem spacers in red for a bit of colour.
KCNC bottle cage bolts in red, same as above.

So was I the ONLY one to get it in black then?
Those tyres look massive for 2.2's, how do you find them?0 -

They do look big. They were only £17 each on CRC and had decent reviews 4.5/5 IIRC so thought i would give them a punt. Very pleased and would buy again.Trek Fuel EX 8 (2010)0 -

I have the 2009 model but upgraded the Bars, Stem and Seatpin to Ritchey WCS and changed the brakes and shifters to XT.0

Fitted these earlier. Found it really hard to get the old ones out, so hard that when they did come loose, sparks came out!!Trek Fuel EX 8 (2010)0 -
I want one of these bikes rather badly! Looks gorgeous!0

lovely bike,I assume this is French petrol - be careful in reverse - the car will retreat rapidly at the least provocation.0

Well.. that was less useful than you initially envisaged, I presume
Did you even try clicking on your oh-so-clever link in the first place? I've used the internet before google even existed, when modems used to scream abuse for a couple of minutes before taking 5 minutes to download an email, but of course I didn't try to google a kcnc dealer did I?
How utterly patronising, yet satisfyingly warming to know that for once, google didn't find my answer. Idiot.
(No, I'm not going to use a dealer I've never heard of, but 6700 positive rating sounds good)
On a brighter note, thanks OP0 -
