Sup Crudders, it's new-phone-o-clock! The choice is between the (old!) HTC Desire and the (NEW) Desire HD. The HD would be a tenner more a month, plus it's hyoooge, but it's new . Has anyone got one or t'other? Is the HD worth the extra?

And no, I don't want an iPhone. :P

I have a desire HD and i love good, great build quality and so quick. I couldnt fault it.
Also you dont need to bring a separate camera out with you while riding because the camera is so good.

Well the SGS is basically the middle ground between those 2 in hardware terms, better specs than the old Desire, a bit below the HD. Considering it's basically the same in cost as the old Desire I dont know why you have it down as the outsider.0

Standard Desire!!
Don't think I'd like the added bulk of the HD, i'd be so scared of breaking the huge screen.
The HTC sense UI is a million times better than the samsung's UI. (that is of course absolute fact not just my opinion)0 -

iTunes. It's dogshit propriety that'll never be installed on my computer.0 -
iTunes is pretty bad. Having said that i still believe it's better than any of the alternatives.0

I'd still have an iPhone over an HTC though.0 -
iTunes is actually the main reason I don't want an iPhone. Plus I like the extra customisationability (yes it is a word!) of the Android phones.
An example of how iTunes is rubbish: I want to put photos on my iPod. So iTunes lets me choose one folder, to 'sync'. Now if I've got some photos on an external hard drive, which isn't connected, and I've got some on a flash drive, and some on my computer, I have to choose which ones I want, because I can't have all three on the iPod. Because the only option is to 'sync' from only one folder. It won't let me just drag and drop onto the iPod, like it does with music.
Anyway, I never said I wanted something the same as an iPhone so neeer :P to you VWSurfbum
But lets not get into a full iPod/Flats/FS argument here0 -
seriously, though, iphone is the best phone on the market.
you should get one.0 -
I was looking at the HD with the standard desire today and I think that the HD one is worth the extra, as even though it's big, I don't think it's overly big. Looks really smart and I want one.
I'm pricing it up though, I recon I would do better buying one brand new for £450, then just get a simple £10 a month deal with Tesco Mobile. The cheapest contract for an HD is £30 a month for 24 months, meaning you pay £720 for a phone that will be out of date come the end of your contract! :shock:It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.

Nick Griffin said I should get one, and he does have some sensible ideas, so maybe you're right.0 -

£450 + (24* £10) = £790 if you 'DIY' the phone and contract. Although you have got the choice of changing phone earlier on. But then each month you're paying £10 instead of £30 you're saving money on the contract, so you'd be better off keeping it for longer. In fact you'd have to have it for another 4 months to make it cheaper than a £30/month contract.0 -

I think tesco do a £6.50 pm contract-should save you some money.
Regarding desire vs hd, havent you realised that biggest is always best?!!!0
