Dont know how many of you follow the cricket or how many of you are interested in the ashes, but i thought i would start a crud catcher ashes thread as i havent seen one yet.
Good result in the first test considering our first innings.
And an amazing start to the second test.

being scottish, i shouldnt really have a take on Cricket, but the ashes are enthralling.
England fought well in the first test to get the draw. Great start to the 2nd test, they just need to bat and get a decent lead like the Aussies did in the first test. Oh and get the Convicts out quick in the 2nd innings.
Exciting stuff though, especially with this cold snap hitting the UK shores2009 Trek 3900 disc https://www.flickr.com/photos/125245570 ... 613755884/

we need a good batting display from our lads tomorrow0

Come on you englands score us a goal!!!!
To be fair, good performance today on a good batting wicket, but Adelaide does reverse swing, which suits us down to the ground.
lets hope that the Aussies don't get it swinging as much tommorrow0 -
The winner gets a tiny pot of dust! Whats that all about?2014 Whyte T-129S0

Yes, and it's not even the real thing - that's at Lords I think.

Would you trust an Island of convicts with anything more than that?0 -

AND THEN IT ENDS IN A DRAW  I'm aware this isn't an original criticism, but that's only because everyone else with a brain realises it's bloody stupid. At least golf's nice to look at. Cricket's the only sport in the world that wouldn't change at all if there were no players on the pitch.Uncompromising extremist0 -
Don't many football matches end in a draw?0

Yeah but not after 5 days of playing.
I think the ball should be replaced with a small hand grenade. Would speed up the game no end, and stop the bowler rubbing it in his crotch.I don't do smileys.

Only test matches. 20/20 cricket is great for those who want quick results.
Test matches are a different kettle of fish, and agree they do not appeal to all, but anything where we can hammer the convicts has to be worth while.
crotch action is vital-have to have nice shinny balls......0 -

Overplayed maybe. Overrated is an objective thing though.0 -
I find it quite funny that the Australians are praying for rain in this test...0
