My RS10's are getting worn out and will need replacing in the spring, seen some RS80's for £287 so thinking of treating myself, is this a good price, or are the shimano wheels usually available at discounted prices most of the time?
Was going to go for the pro lite bracciano's but ribble have no stock, and i dont know if they will still be as cheap when new stock comes in :-(
Lastly, probably an often asked Q, will i notice much difference between my RS10's and the RS80's, its about 300g lighter per wheelset, and i do ride a lot of big hills in the Lakes. I know it wont turn me into King of the mountains lol

I just bought some RS80s from a bike shop on eBay. They were £300 inc postage. Brand new and boxed. I've not been out on them this week yet for obvious reasons but they feel so much lighter (600g) than my old wheels. I searched high and low for a better price but couldn't find one so 287 looks great value.0

£320 from Merlin at the mo, BUT an extra 10% off until Sunday evening Makes `em £288. Decent reliable people to deal with as well, and usually quick delivery.

as so many said 287 is a great price.
Don t know the RS10, but for sure the RS80 are probably as good as it gets for the price. Been running then for around 2,000 miles and was very happy with them, very smooth ride!0 -
Got mine from Ribble for around £320, £290 is a great price. Love um 8)Why tidy the house when you can clean your bike?0

Yep thats a good price. Ive been keeping my eye on these for a few weeks, Chain Reaction having the best price but with their 10% off they were still £300.
I'm just a little reluctant to spend before christmas and prefer the Dura Ace verison for no rational reason.
The trick is not MINDING that it hurts.0 -
Ultegra 6700 wheels worth looking at as well. great pair of wheels, pretty light, look good in black with the white graphics as well Quite stiff and also can be used with tubeless OR clincher tyres.Jens says "Shut up legs !! "

I've had a week on the new RS80's and just wanted to say what a relevation they are. I've been riding the wheels that came on my Specialized Secteur Elite. Finally decided to take the leap of spending £300 on wheels after many people mentioned the difference a decent pair of wheels can have. Well although they are light it's the smoothness of the hubs and the floaty nature of the rims that were such a surprise. Despite going from 25 tyres to 23 the ride has become a lot more comfortable, smoothing out even the poorest London road surfaces. The way that the hubs just keep spinning and spinning means that I'm now having to use my brakes much more because my old wheels would slow up quite quickly while freewheeling. Anyway if your thinking about buying some then do it! If you're like me then you'll love em.0
