Becoming a proper "strange" cyclist

In my never-ending quest to become one of those proper strange cyclists I cycled in with carrier bags between two pairs of socks to keep my feet dry.
It was surprisingly effective.

I've tried petrol station plastic gloves between glove liner and outer glove. Seems to make no difference at all......Faster than a tent.......0

i thoroughly recommend these:
five ten karvers
they look ridiculous, but grip like hell to flatties (definitely preferable in the current conditions) and stay warm and dry.0 -

I saw a guy a few weeks ago with plastic bags tied over his shoes!! commended him on his geniousness and moneysaving...he wasn't sure if they would work as had only just set off0
