Becoming a proper "strange" cyclist

In my never-ending quest to become one of those proper strange cyclists I cycled in with carrier bags between two pairs of socks to keep my feet dry.

It was surprisingly effective.

    LOL! Fair play to you, not something I've ever had the urge to try, but promoting "strangeness" is to be applauded.

    Just out of interest, did they make a funny noise when you waked?

    Wiggo was tweeting about the insulating properties of clingfilm worn over the sock and inside the shoe... worth a punt? Me? I've got my winter boots. :D

    I've tried petrol station plastic gloves between glove liner and outer glove. Seems to make no difference at all......

    Whilst I envy the cost effectiveness, i'll stick with sealskinz and overshoes!

    i thoroughly recommend these:

    five ten karvers

    they look ridiculous, but grip like hell to flatties (definitely preferable in the current conditions) and stay warm and dry.

    I saw a guy a few weeks ago with plastic bags tied over his shoes!! commended him on his geniousness and moneysaving...he wasn't sure if they would work as had only just set off

    The girl in the canteen said "You must be mad!" when she saw me cycle in today. Not normally a compliment!

    She's quite foxy actually..
