It may be cold here but not too far away in France at Le Monetier-Les-Bains it is forecast to be -33C thursday night. Wow! Anyone fancy riding the Galibier, spiked snow tyres of course, T-shirt and shorts  .

Indeedy deedy, but in Siberia the temp is expected to drop to -60C in winter, but not in mainland Europe AFAIK. The winds currently blowing over the UK are coming straight from Siberia and Mongolia.

At the top of Galibier it could be -45 to -50C on thursday night? Get a few L'Equipes down the front of your jersey for the downhill.

  • It's minus 20 in Krakow.

If you spit, it tinkles when it hits the ground.

They say it's the same if you urinate but I'm not getting my meat and two veg out in minus 20.
