As for 3 pockets, I think my phantom had 3?
    Would be a safe bet.

Their website has good rear pics of all the road jackets (gorebikewear uk)

Ive never found the rear pockets on jackets to be much use. Maybe you are better off with a larger saddlebag.

Are you sure? How do you grab a gel/food or your wind/waterproof out of a saddle bag as you're riding!

Gore Tool - significantly warmer than an 851, has four rear pockets (one zipped), a chest pocket and pit-zips. Agree about saddlebags - once moving I don't want to stop unless absolutely necessary (e.g. punctures/mechanicals) as you keep warm that way.

Gore stuff is hard to beat, great quality and good prices.

Who do you think supplies top end technical materials?

    Gore Tex
    Gore Windstopper
    Gore Pac lite
    Gore Polartec
    etc. etc.
  • tool has, as stated, 4 pockets.

5 pockets is a bit over the top in my opinion.
Specialized element works for me.Totally windproof and showerproof.I carry an Altura pocket rocket for when it proper rains.
