One of the most irritaiting things for me when cycling along a certain old railway line is the ignorant gets who, when walking in groups of 2 or more with their back to you, look and see me coming from a good distance then fail to mention my approach to their friends so leaving the path blocked. Drives me nuts.

So I'm going to get one of these

and blast it right at them! :D:D

Won't use it if they haven't genuinley seen me but if I feel they have (I'll be the judge!) then this is what they will get.

It is annoying yes. I cycle on an old railway quite often (great central way - Leicester) and people often do this. Thing is though, they probably can't hear you coming, and they don't have eyes in the backs of their heads. This is why I shout "On your left" or something to notify them of my presence and which way I'm coming through.

Remember they are shared bike paths, so as a cyclist you need to have respect for everyone else using it, and them to you too.

    Oh and wrong forum mate.

I'm a bit old fashioned when this happens to me, I say "excuse me please" and then "thank you" when I've passed, works a treat and costs nothing.
Oh and please remember to click on my blog:

The more clicks I get the higher it creeps up the google radar :)

I'm not talking about people that don't see me coming, I slow down, and as pete says an excuse me and a thank you are given easily.
However the ignorant ones who have looked round, saw me coming and ignored me shall get a blast of said horn :D
