Thread of the Year awards

As the year draws to a close I think it would be nice to nominate the best thread on Bike Radar this year. It can be for any reason and from any forum.
For me one worthy of note was the one where the bloke attempts the London/Bristol(?) record, initially to much scepticism, only to miss out by a few minutes whne he actualy makes the attempt: A great thread & very inspiring. (As you can gather I can't remember the details - I'm sure somone will..)
However my personal favorite for sheer side splitting hilarirty has to be (drum roll)
BE WARNED by Speed King

Funniest thing I have ever read on here.
So: What are your nomiantions? Entries close 14th December
(if you can provide a link so much the better)

+1 for Be Warned, it was so funny I complained to Wiggle.0
-
steelem for viewing a second hand bike then buying it and then complaining because it wasn't what was listed on e-bay.
That guy was weapons grade stupid0 -
BE WARNED!!!
The Bhima thread a close 2nd.0 -
Has to got to be the 'Be Warned' thread.
Close second is Bhima.0 -
The thread about the guy moaning about Wiggle re worn chain etc was pretty good (was that the BE WARNED one?) although a latecomer to the title is the Neil Pryde debacle0
-
I'm bananas over the Bhima thread.0
-
Be Warned is solid gold... the kids are off school with the snow. By page 6 they asked me to stop reading it as I was laughing so much they couldn't hear the telly. So here goes ...page 7Why tidy the house when you can clean your bike?0

Bhima was genius.
I still giggle at the post someone put about Bhima pacing the Higgs boson
The dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns
momentarily from the herd and thinks for himself.0 -
"Be Warned".
Honourable mentions for "Bhima" and the stalwart that is "Girls In Lycra Shorts". Although Girls In Lycra Shorts should perhaps have its title changed to delete the word 'Lycra'. And quite possibly the word 'Shorts' as well...0 -
"BE WARNED" and Bhima are excellent, but I also hugely enjoyed the recent 'Cycle Against Capitalism' thread - some really funny & witty responses to an undoubted Troll.

The Ronde Van Vlaanderen 2010 *Spoiler* threead on Pro Race, 'cos it meant there was some decent racing on!0

My vote is for The Bhima Thread. (or ANY Bhima thread) always provides some great entertainment.
"Be Warned" gets my second place vote for the sheer stupidity of the OP (geez - I hope that isn't too derogatory).0 -
BE WARNED... and of course not forgetting the follow-up "DO SOMETHING!!!!"
"no matter how much i have tried and explained people in here do not let up, i have asked nicely and ended up getting very annoyed please please do SOMETHING????"Vitus Sentier VR+ (2018) GT Grade AL 105 (2016)
Giant Anthem X4 (2010) GT Avalanche 1.0 (2010)
Kingley Vale and QECP Trail Collective - QECP Trail Building0 -
Heh heh, forgot about the Do Something!! thread. I just lol'd without even opening it again.0

Can't remember if it was this year or last but my nomination is for the compact vs standard thread by sasquatchman that ran and ran.Norfolk, who nicked all the hills?

"Be warned", closely followed by steelem's classic "Ripped off";

How about the thread moaning about an LBS and a broken left-hand shifter? IIRC it turns out that the LBS jumped through more hoops than Beth Tweddle and gave him a free upgrade. Despite all the bad-mouthing on this forum and an effing & jeffing visit from the Dad :? I cannot recall the title but clearly remember thanking my lucky stars that I was never in retail. The older I get the faster I was0
-
It may not count, as it is still "live", but the Mouse saga involving DDD on Commuting Chat has had some wonderful moments so far.The older I get the faster I was0

Never seen the 'DO SOMETHING' thread before... great stuff! Here's my top 3...
1. Steelem's bike.
2. Freehub and the Chinese bike thief paranoia PC Racism saga.
3. The one where the newbie wanted advise on getting a new moped.0 -

The original was quickly deleted, but it spawned a load of other threads that threatened to destroy Bike Radar. Bompington's @Forum falling apart' managed to calm it all down:
