I was wondering if anyone knew who makes/the history of the frame im building in the apollo project.
It has a really unusual rear suspension design(shock facing upwards on seat tube), and the bushings for the suspension seemed to be of good quality. Somebody told me to look at diamondback bikes of the same age, but I havent been able to find anything.

The bike was bought in 2003 and called an apollo vendetta...

so what do you want to know?

lots of bikes had shocks in that position from very early on.

What I mean is that is there another bike that shares the same frame? IE Carrera bikes have carrera frames, but halfords dont make them-merida do.

it was just a catalogue frame, it had many names.

There were a few similar with slighgtly different designs. Middy Fox and Silver Fox did some.

    best spec-
    Saddle: Cheap
    Forks: Cheap
    Wheels: Cheap
    Handlebars: Cheap
    etc etc

If you put anything decent on it then it will be better than an original one. But guaranteed, the frame will break the first time you try to use it properly.
Never put off until tomorrow something that you can do today. 'Cause if you do it today, and like it, the you can do it again tomorrow!!

I wouldn't be so sure. The welding and gussetting looks ok. And the rocker arms look like decent quality. Interesting project anyway, even if I wouldn't do it myself.
