There are loads of front battery lights that mount to a handlebar. But if you are using V brakes, Spaninga do a front battery LED light that mounts to the fork crown, called the Luceo. Good bit of kit, comes with integrated reflector. Bright enough for illuminated roads. Not available in the UK. But from JOS International.

Yes it does state £49 lowest order. I have just managed to order one. Their site states "Bikester.co.uk stocks bikes for the most varied uses" The number is UK 0203 3189200, email UK mail@bikester.co.uk, Perhaps you are transfered abroad!, I don't mind, but my order was accepted, no problem.
