DHB Sichuan event £84 at wiggle with another 15% off making it just over £70. Anything else as highly rated for the money?

That link takes you to the Wickham jacket - is that what you meant?
If so, I have it and use it for commuting mostly. Its nice and breathable, fits well, even with my long arms, The collar has some nice fabric on the inside which feels cosy, and the wrists fit well also - kind of nice and snug without being too tight but without flapping around and feeling cold like some goretex jackets. Mine feels a little short for dirty mountain biking - not much protection for your backside - but that might just be my awkward body shape. Also no pockets or hanging tab but I don't find this a problem at all...Offroad: Canyon Nerve XC8 (2012)

Its 15% of the full price so this will stay at £840 -
Cheers Chris - Yes I did mean wickham - bloody iPhone thought it wise to correct it for me making me look more of a fool than I already am!
With regards to the 15% off, I'm pretty sure it is off the £83.99. It has been that price for some time and the 15% code has only come up very recently.
Anyhow - any other suggestions for jackets at a decent price or is this the one?0 -

To confirm this I have added the jacket into my basket and entered both the xmas-15 code and the xmas-20 code. No further discount was applied.0 -

Decathlon sell an own brand cycling jacket made from novadry (their own brand of goretex) for £50, I've had one since the summer, and it's great value for money. I've also owned a pair of decathlon novadry walking boots for a number of years, which have never failed me. Personally, I don't see why you would buy anything else.0

I searched for years for a genuinely breathable waterproof jacket - and to date myself a little was working in a mountain climbing equipment store when the first generation Gore-Tex came out in the '70s. I long ago lost count of how many different Gore-Tex jackets I tried and was disappointed in, and pretty much gave up on it and the idea of a breathable waterproof in general. A couple of years ago Wiggle was offering deep discounts on a pricey Gore Fusion jacket and against my usual instincts I bought one - and am I glad I did. THis is it. The one. IT works!
I love it. I do not think it would be all that good in warm rains in places like Australia (where I am from and used to live) but I can rely on it absolutely here in Britain to keep me both dry and sweat-free. I was lucky enough to have scored mine at a discount, but having experienced how well it works, I'd have no hesitation in paying full whack is for some reason mine was ever most or mangled. It really is a nice jacket.0
