Greetings crudites!

Stoke on Trent got snowed upon last night, therefore scuppering my plans for an early exodus to Bristol.
I have to admit, I do like snow, it's visually appealing, but the effect it has on the transport system and other factors of life can be challenging.

So, what's your Saturday all about?

  • Greetings.

More snow fell on the IOM last night, although it's all melting now.

Today I'll be getting the carpet cleaner out the garage and doing some pre-christmas carpet cleaning.

  • Morning all...

Just got up, had a session to end all sessions last night so feel a little bit pissed still, At 12 oclock I have a wedding, and there are approx 14 single nurses going so TBC is 'suiting up' and is going to give them a crack (Figuretively speaking) :)

Was going to put some road miles in this morning, but way over the limit...

just walked the dogs into and out of chatham along the river which is industrial and ugly but strangly satisfying when its silent and frosty*

about to play some squash and if current form is to be believed, i should win a few games.

this afternoon will be golden eye on the wii.

tonight is fish curry whilst watching the telly.

    *im not gay or owt.
  • Ha! I will not be beaten, I've decided to go to Brizzle anyway and as it snowed down there I shall not be lugging a bike aliong :(
Let the fun and games begin as I slip and slide my way to the motorway in a short while

  • I'm going to have a play around on my Blender today :D

Then figure out how to fit the chain guide/bash at the same time. But playtime first 8)

    Good Afternoon Freaks!

Sorted out the shed this morning so I can access my bikes easier. I seem to have an infestation of "False Black Widow" spiders, which is nice... :D

Also done a couple of fettling jobs on the NRS and Coiler.

Probably doing a bit of Christmas shopping this afternoon.

Apart from that, I'm sat here, wearing my slippers drinking a mug of cocoa...

Afternoon biker types. Light dusting of thevwhite stuff here but mostly gone.

Triple gail day today. Central heating keeps tripping out, think it needs a new thermocoupler. Then double stif fail, jeans look awful, fit nice but definately not the colour shown and I ordered White unabombas by mistake, so it's all gone back and there's black gloves on the way instead. I'm going to cheer myself up by going to buy some rock climbing gear as it's my new second favourite hobby this month

oh and I'm at work :(

Was up early this morning, the earliest I've been up for months! Worth it though, went over for a ride in the Peak District. A little bit of snow but a lot of ice!

Afternoon all. Just got back from a blast round the local along with approx 10,000,000 other riders I have never seen so many skull caps and tights :)

Condition were not too bad, just enough snow too make it look good but not enough to cause any real probs

School MTB club ride this morning - they learnt two important lessons. Riding through icy puddles is fun, but frozen feet for two hours is not, and ice is slippery.
    My work is done.

Tomorrow is a day in the SH with London Calling regulars - the non girly ones anyway. (You know who you are.)
    I don't do smileys.

I like my blender :D I feel so much more confident on it going down stairs, steep stuff and more. Maybe it's the move from v-brakes to disks that's helping too

I've learnt I can't fit a bash with a chainring, so went to leisure lakes to get some single ring chain bolts, they didn't have any. So I went to a shop called DJ Cycles nearby, and the bloke was kind enough to give me some spares they had. Sadly, he gave me the male bolts, and I (now know) need the females. Never mind, all part of the learning curve.
So, of course, I'm looking on crc, but now looking at upgrading the whole driveytain
Having a single ring makes life a lot easier, hopefully slightly cheaper too... :?
