Just been cross country skiing

Just done an hour or two cross country skiing in the hills above Loch Morlich in the Cairngorms :-) Perfect conditions and it's still snowing, roads are fine though.
If you can't get your bike onto the local trails because of the snow treat yourself to some used cross country skis on ebay and give it a go, great fun and an excellent whole body workout. I taught myself last winter, I'd never been on skis before in my life and didn't find it too hard.
By the way, all this snow is my fault. I put new brake pads on the mtb, now I won't get it out of the garage until May! Last easter weekend I could still ski to the next village and back on the cycle path.
