Help Needed - life or death

I lied, but a poor underprivileged friend of mine, a musician living in Hawaii (tough life for some), needs votes to get to the finals of a battle of the bands competition in Vegas.
One of his bands is a drunken Irish pub type band.
Please vote - it's the right thing to do - I've run out of email addresses.
His plea -
Steven Howells via Doolin Rakes: Our band, the Doolin Rakes, is in 6th place, the top 5 go through to the finals, you know what to do! (if you haven't done it yet). Every vote counts...

For ex Saffas you may remember The Asylum KIds (best SA band ever) and The Dynamics. Steve was the drummer.

Never!
Best were:
Radio Rats! Even Bob Geldof went to the "suspension city" to see them when he was over to meet Nelson Mandela
Then of course the legendary NOFH who had Annette McLennan on drums..
Thereafter I place the Asylum Kids, Band of Gypsies (although they were a brilliant cover band) and Ella Mental..0 -

@Raymondavalon - except I've known Steve since primary school, so over 35 years. The band was formed out of a couple of high school bands - although I prefer their original name - Shag. We were quite young obviously.
But I agree. Radio Rats were excellent, but from the East Rand (Boksburg? Benoni?), No Friends of Harry (translation for non Saffas) were pretty good, but came along 5 years later or so. BOG were a great outdooor get trashed band, and Ella Mental had Heather Mac, hot and could sing.
But I grew up with the Kids - you could say I'm biased.
Have videos of all of them (except BOG) on my Facebook page.
@projectsome - the rest are not Cruddy approved.

And my favourite hotty - Claire from Mango Groove - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtfXIj6QCW8I don't do smileys.

. . . bliksem, those vids take me back! Claire Johnston was (still is) pretty fit, but looked much better on stage than in the vids. MG are still going strong - they're on tour at the moment. And ZXDan - what memories that brings back
remember Juluka . .

I fell in love with Claire when they first formed and used to play in the Melville Kroeg. Unfortunatley she got involved with John Leyden (bass player) and even more unfortunately they are still together.
@Raymond - I knew it was some skommie East Rand town. As a Northcliff boy our mommies wouldn't let us play with daaie soort.I don't do smileys.
