It bloody well is. Everything looks easier in video, but they only showed a fraction of it - such a long, brutal DH track.

See if you hadnt said that i could of (in my dreams) hit that course full on and of been none the wiser, but the chances of me going to scotland are slim, slimmer with the bike and pretty much non existant to fort bill :D

    yip....love riding at fort bill.

thing is....gee and all the other wc riders skip over the worst of the rough stuff, sniping landings between rocks that most of us don't have the cahonies to hit at that speed....

It is quite hard. Gee makes it look easy, but then he's a bit good  Not the hardest thing I've ever ridden * but it's way up there, and there's so much of it, I was a wreck by the bottom. It's pretty brutal.

(* I found some parts of Laggan black harder and a fair bit just as hard. And some of the stuff we did in France.)

Interestingly, that vid has apparently shown Gee how much fun it is on engined bikes, he's now been seen out playing a couple of times at Apex Moto-x and WOR enduro events since then.

No idea if he did this sort of thing before or not though.

Who would win on a course that neither knows? Gee has a big advantage at Fort William, he knows that course very well, that has to be worth several seconds.

Yup - and it took me 10 mins to get down on the first run. I was on an AM bike and it was pretty scary.
All the pro's make it look very easy, jumping over most of the rock drops etc

Laggen black is up there isn't it.
In September I did FW and Laggen back to back - I was aching a little after ;)

IMO Knight would have won that event if he'd had a bit longer, the fact that he got so close is impressive but he was still getting faster. But as it is, it was a pretty honourable result for both, Gee gets the win, Knight gets to impress people by making it close.

I reckon Knight would have the advantage on an unfamiliar course since he's much more familiar with riding things blind or with just a walk.

^^ Northwind - Gee can go almost 30 seconds quicker in the dry as well.

Of course he can. But they were both up there in the same poor conditions, do you think it's only gee that'd benefit from a warmer dryer track?

It would defo benefit Gee more than David. Those moto bikes go through pretty much anything.
