any reccomended routes colchester way??

i always had great fun on my bike and now aged 26 with a group of friends am getting back into it.

we've been to thetford a few times now but can anyone reccomend anthing a little more local?? looking for decent length trails equivelant to red and black runs at thetford....

    The guy's at 53-12 down on Cowdray Avenue ride out on a wednesday evening and a sunday usually. They're a really good bunch and know loads of local routes through woods and along bridleways. Have you tried all round the back of the zoo then Olivers Fields and into friday woods, across to Ball Farm and into Donyland woods. I lived in colchester for a few years and just got an OS map and looked for bridleways and the like. Have fun.
