Bessel Kok probabaly heard someone refer to cycling as "chess on wheels" and thought "I'll buy some of that".
Seems a slightly odd investment for either billionaire, particualrly if 'QuickStep will remain the only name sponsor.
BTW - Cyclingnews seem to have realised that Kok is Dutch rather than Czech and changed their headline.'This week I 'ave been mostly been climbing like Basso - Shirley Basso.'0 -
