I'd just like to say how impressed I was.
I got badly cut up this morning, stayed on, but both wheels locked up, thought I was going to hit some moron in either an Aston or a Jag who pulled out from a side road and roared down the road.
It was before 6am, I had just started my commute so no commuting adrenalin yet. I had a hi vis vest on and a couple of decent front lights.
Normally I retain zen-like calm at these times, but for some reason this guy made me cross, probably because of the way he zoomed off as quickly as he could from the scene.
When I got in I rang the non-emergency number for the met and said that I wanted to report the incident, not least because from the way it was being driven it looked like it might have been stolen.
The guy on the end of the phone was very polite, very helpful. He pointed out that stealing something like that was not a hotwire job, but normally a burglary from home. He assured me that they would visit the owner and check that no burglary had happenned, and warn the driver if it had not.
For all I know it might all be rubbish, but I felt I had been listened to, and that something had been done. All very good
