i've heard that the trail is closed i'd stay away if i were you

*this is in no way true i just want to keep the trail clear for me :D

but to answer your question, it's a little bit wet with a few puddles but in general it's holding up really well :D
  • Cwm always holds up well, it has great drainage and a rock base.

So no mud tyres they wont grips the rocks so well lol.

But Kev is right, the trail has uhm been uhm .... Blown up and destroyed!!!

yeah and there's also a bad case of highly contagious (sp?) sheep chicken pocks that is lethal to humans that come within 500m of a sheep

Unless you have obviously been building up a solid immunity in the area over the last 5 years :s?
  • Was up there yesterday afternoon / evening and it was fine, more puddles in the car park than anywhere else :D

I did wear a mask as a precaution, no ill effects today - yet........ :D

    Cheers

 I loved the way you weren't so sure on the spelling of contagious (which you got right) and then spelt Pox wrong!

As for Cwm Carn, I'm getting withdrawl. I'm from Bedwas originally and not been back to see the family for far too long. As I still class myself as a local, I'm probably immune too and will be down on the 12th with a bit of luck!

    ha ha..oops

yeah the locals get a jab to immunise them at birth so you'd be ok

I think the gates to the main car park get closed around 8 or 9 but you can still park by the visitors centre.
  • Bolloks. I just realize I could have got to the trailhead carpark through the housing estate to the left. Arrgh.
