    Morning reprobates,
today i will mainly be moaning. Work/man flu/humans etc.
[rant] i spent last night looking on Job hunting websites, thats a brain numbing sport, after yesterdays day at work where the regional manager questioned my commitment to the job after i refused a course in Glouster when i have to get there for 9 and it finishes at 5! not a problem you may think but add into that using your own car, traveling round the M25 and a 2.5Hr journey without traffic!
Now when he questioned my commitment to the Job, i did loose it (just a little) I get in at just after 0600 in the morning and most nights leave approx 18.45 five days a week, i dont care what you say thats commitment to a Job!
Time find a new job that actually apperiate workers and a re willing to pay for them! Grr

    Good Morning Freaks!

Today, I'm going to be researching commuter tyres as I feel the quality of Conti's Gatorskins has gone down hill. Ripped the sidewall on my rear tyre last night, meaning a 2 mile walk home. :( It's not just that, when inspecting the tyre last night to see if could be saved (which it can't), the tread section that comes into contact with the road is cut to pieces. I don't normally see this due to the full length mudguards on the Focus. Tyres have only been on there for about 9 months, previous ones have lasted around 18 months.

I shall also be researching apple trees for Mrs C - anyone know what sort grows along those hedge type wire treliss thingymabobs?

Apart from that, much coffee and bacons will be consumed.

Let me know when you find one. I had my commitment questioned after travelling 5 hours each way to look after a project in Scunthorpe that wasn't even mine, whilst the parent company tried to blame me for not knowing it was due to start.

Today is meh free, it's Wednesday so the bike's in the car ready for lunch time!

    .

Any apple tree can be espalier trained, but it takes a while (as long as the tree takes to grow) so it's best to buy one ready trained. Discovery or Fiesta have a nice firm red fruit.

  • Had a crappy morning thus far..
My BT Home Hub decided to revert to factory settings, so unaware of this I couldn't connect to the Interwebz! I then saw this BTHomeHub effort in the Apple Airport wireless network list and connected to it using the WEP password printed on to the back of the confounded device.
I had to set the network up from scratch as I don't use the factory defaults, in built firewall or "BT Recommended" IP address assignments. I had to log into external firewall and of course, I couldn't remember the password, but it came to me (they call that an "epiphany") and alas, I got everything set up. Anyway, I've made a note (Text file) of all the settings in case the BT Hub decides to suffer another bout of going back to its roots! Frikken POS! Makes me wonder if I shouldn't invest in a Draytec, NetGear or other wireless router.

Woop Woop! Today just got soooooo much better. Just had a text from the LBS to say the forks and rear-end of the NRS are ready for collection.

    That's Friday's (day off) activities sorted... :D
  • Afternoon all,

Just got back from an interview "up town". Nice money, horrible location (travel wise, it's right by the London Eye so quite a nice area).

Plans for afternoon are to hopefully get some fettling done, I currently have 2 bikes out of action, this makes me sad.

I need to go and find something to eat.

    Is it summer yet?

So according to the BBC site, a group of wanky students are having a sit in at my uni against the education cuts.

I'm tempted to go and shout at them to stop being retards.

If they're still there tonight around 6 when the news bulletins are going out live (ITV and BBC news have vans there for reports) I might go and swear at them loudly.

I've always wanted to swear on live TV.

I've confirmed that tomorrow is soooooo full of win it may take me some time to recover.

Into London for a meeting first thing to discuss play areas. These meetings are generally populated by so much MILF it's incredible :P . Then joining up with an ex colleague for lunch at a place of her choice. Then it's off to the Olympic Village for a wander round. Then after that it's off to the pub. In between this lot I also expect to do some shopping at my favourite choccy shop and also look at buying something from picturesonwalls.

    WOOHOOO!
