I keep having to explain to the Mrs that its unlikely that when they predict snow (for scotland and the north etc) its unlikely to hit a very flat southernly warmer place.0 -
last year snow was on our drive from 17th Dec until the 15th Feb I love it! and its great for business. Although it does challenge my ability to go cycling, eventwo weeks ago Kirkstone pass was 8 inches deep.0

I only lived in yorkshire, but on the pennines. We had a good few weeks of snow. I don't tihnk I could move the car for about a week at one time.
