Scott Scale 40 stolen from Portsmouth.

Please any help would be appreciated here.
My bike was stolen from my locked communal hallway by a neighbours visiting friend on their way out!!!! I have such good neighbours :shock: It was Friday 19th Nov 10'. The neighbour actually thinks it was his mate as there is no other expanation but as i don't have cctv or eye witnesses so i can't just point a finger at anyone and the police can't do anything. I may as well have just gave it to the lad...grrrrr :x
I am so frustrated the police did'nt ring me for 3 days after reporting it to tell me it's probably out of the area (not surprised they've had 3 days head start!) the neighbour gave me a name and i was told to leave the person alone! by the police? Is it me or was there nil investigating their?
It was a Scott scale 40 2009 black/gold/grey with white Scott decals. It has white forks instead of standard black for that model with DMR pedals. Other than that standard spec.
