  • Glentress is really only about 30-40 minutes drive from the city centre and well worth the trip. But if you want somewhere closer then the Pentlands are also very good.

Read the latest issue. 14 pages on Edinburgh MTB-ing. Will whet your appetite. Best ride section on Scotland for a long time. Well done Matt Skinner. The old WMB may be making a comeback? (Cross bikes write-up was good too as was basic Deore crank winning praise).
  • I have ridden the routes in the mag and read the report.
So buy the mag and choose one of these routes.
The Pub in Flotterstone serves great food and if you want to leave any one there while you ride there are some good walks.
The pub can get busy at peak times though!

Glentress worth the drive but if you are pushed for time maybe a bit too far.

IIf you want a really quick ride to clear the hangover a couple of early morning laps Arthers Seat should warm you up before it gets busy with walkers.
    A few paths to explore
Useful if you are staying in the city centre, but not a proper ride though.
