advice to starting up again

ive recently started up biking again after 3 years and a beer belly so just got my self a 2006 gary fisher wahoo (not the disc one) and was wondering if anyone knows any good components to put on the and tyres as all my old gear has rotted and siezed your help would be greatful

What sort of budget are we looking at? Do you need new wheels and forks?0

no the forks are fine just need a new back wheel as its buckled and because im using rim brakes at the moment its slowing me right downgary fisher wahoo 060
