Afternoon
Has anyone done the xc or freeride routes at Chicksands?
Quite fancy a day trip for me and the lads, fair old poke from home but is it worth a 6 hour round trip?
I ride the South Downs Way and the odd long weekend in Coed Y Brenin, guess I looking for some middle ground!
Cheers,
Geoff

If you like DJ's and 4X it's worth the trip, don't bother for XC.Northwind wrote: It's like I covered it in superglue and rode it through ebay.0

XC routes have been cut up for ages now and a lot of the signs are missing. The focus there is more on DJs / 4X racing so if thats your thing its worth it.
If you come over this way, you could combine the trip with a visit to Woburn for XC (and more DJs plus a pump track). That would make it worth a 6 hour round tripMy Website - Trail Centre info for the UK: MTB Trail Time0 -
Ok guys, thanks for the advice.
XC and light freeride is more my bag so I will save the petrol money. nonnac85, thanks for the link, I'll take a look.
Cheers again,

Road the XC a few years ago.
Not worth the long drive.
As stated above good Jumps and shortish DH tracks etc.
I am sure there are better XC routes after a long drive.
Did a XC Race here ,was fun in Race mode but easy non technical course.
Has lots of potential but I think the Jumps is the attraction.0
