705 and won't be "upgrading" to the 800. If anything, I wish I'd just bought the 500 and a separate mapping/GPS device for navigation for as and when I needed it. But, if you're using Garmin Connect, you can share your routes and performance with anyone you like..

I have a 705 and love it, but as said a cheaper 205 will do what you want.

Also if you have a iPhone or other smart phone you can probably download a App that may do what you want.

Forerunner 305. Garmin Connect now uses Bing maps which is horrible. I'm using mapmyrun.

Forerunner 405 here. There are occasions when I wish it did mapping but to be honest that's pretty rare. The fact that I can use it for cycling and running is worth more to me than having access to mapping.
