Many thanks to all who put forth their ideas in my other post "£2400 do it all bike".
Now I'm of the opinion that the more AM bikes may be a bit much for the ups....... Sure I'd love to point them downhill, but I have to get to the top first!
So, the Zesty has a bit more travel but some say can be sluggish up hills, rated formula rx brakes..... Looks good!
The Trek has been improved on the bike I already liked...... Nimble quick and capable of what I ride. Will my light DH lust become too much for it?
Going to try and ride them, but having a mare even finding shops that have them in stock.....

How about a Trek Remedy or Giant Reign? Both go up hill pretty way & can take a beating on the way down.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

I know, I know - been toying with the idea of a longer travel bike but came to the conclusion that they might be that bit harder on the upward steep stuff. Not much, just that bit more..... Trail centres are my main haunt with a little light DH and 4' drops etc.....
I keep having the Remedy, Lapierre Spicey and others running through my head......0
