    By car?

If you head towards Bracknell on the A329(M), then use the A322 towards Guildford. When the A322 reaches the northern part of Guildford town (it will be on your right) keep on that road to pick up signs for the A25. From the A25 you can access most of the usual riding haunts.

I would look at a thread over in rides called London Calling and organise meeting up with them .
If you do not know the area it is fairly big and allot of the good riding is fairly local knowledge.
Or there are a couple of bike shops that have maps, head for the hills Dorking and Pedal and spoke in peaslake, nirvana cycles in westcott alos does rides of the area.

Easiest places to park are Leith hill or Peaslake, in reality there are loads of carparks but you are talking about an area that is part Surrey hills and part north downs, so this covers Leith hill , boxhill, ranmore, Pitch and holmbury hills to name the main areas but certainly not all.
    hope this helps

  • Hi

If you're coming to The Surrey Hills to ride, it's worth considering that the area around Peaslake (Holmbury & Pitch Hill) and Coldharbour (Redlands and Leith Hill) is coming under a lot of pressure due to the amazing popularity of the trails these days.

If it fits in with your ride please try to start at one of the quieter car parks as this helps spread the load.

Here's a map of all the Hurtwood car parks:

For Coldharbour please try to use the National Trust 'Landslip' car park about1km south of Coldharbour/The Plough Public House.

This should help keep the locals happy. :)

Small correction to Richard's post - London Calling is in 'Rides', not 'Routes'.
    There's something (dis)organised most weekends.
Much time spent talking and eating cake and suchlike. We try and fit a bit of riding in too.
