Getting the tread straight on a Vittoria??

I've just treated myself to some Vittoria Open Pave clinchers but I'm having lots of problems getting the tread to run straight ie the bead isn't sitting evenly within the rim. I've never had this issue with any other tyre in the last 20 years! Anyone got any tips please.

Have you tried lubing the bead / rim with washing up liquid ?
They should pop into place thenHe is not the messiah, he is a very naughty boy !!0 -
Hi Topdude,
Spot on. The tread is now centred. I've never had to use that technique on any other tyre. I wonder if it's got something to do with the very flexible side walls.
Thanks again.-- "I am but a spoke in the wheel of life" -- Ghandi0 -

High tpi = flexible and supple tyre. If you have to lube the bead then you got a first rate tyre.0
