  • i had this thought when fitting a pair of Time RXS clipless pedals to my 1982 Raleigh Record Ace, the thread 9/16" x 20 tpi is stamped on the cranks and i thought modern pedals were now metric, but they are still the same thread , the Time pedals screwed straight in no problem.

Pedal threads have been standard 9/16"x20tpi for yonks - only exceptions are one-piece BMX-style cranks, old French bikes and Shimano Dyna-Drive from the early 80s
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

I recently put shimano 324's on an old Raleigh racer from the 80's. They fitted fine.
