SL3 or Cinder Cone?

Hello all,
New to the forum...
Looking to upgrade my reliable old rigid fork Marin Muirwoods to something which will save my old bones getting rattled to hell up and down the hills. Narrowed down the choices to two, both of which feel great when I've tried them out:
Cannondale Trail SL 3 2010
Kona Cinder Cone 2010
Slightly prefer the Cannondale but it's a good few bucks more.
Any advice?
