This time last year the lanes were already like a slide in a water park.

Now which line should I take?

Sorted... all you need is some minor adjustments to your front forks.

Oops nearly forgot this one, that road goes through the Bourne valley for about 6 miles, it was like that for months, long after everywhere else had cleared.

cheap tyres off ebay and put screws in them, with a length of gaffa to stop the screw head puncturing the tyre

Does the screw's and gaffa tape work? Would be cheaper than the proper tyres....

Work a treat whenever I need some "information". Combine it with a bucket of water and you have a pretty decent torture setup. Then again, you're from Glasgow, so why am I telling you?

Even had ice on the road (well a bit of frost) outside my house this morning. Obviously the London heat island doesn't quite stretch out as far as zone 5.

All the roads have turned into thick sheets of ice, i'm not even going to take the spike tyres out on that, no way.

Not that I'm suggesting or advising riding on that, but I would have thought those conditions would be perfect for the spike tyres.

A constant surface of ice for the spikes to dig it to sounds like ideal conditions.

Was that caused by someone using warm water to clear their car windows?

    Only kidding. Couldn't resist
