Bike thieves - Monday morning rant

I cycled 9 miles in freezing fog this morning to go rowing. The fog was too thick so we had to do a test inside on the rowing machines instead (yay), which was then followed by putting on all my cold wet kit (cold gloves - horrible) and cycling back to Oxford.

When I got home I found my SS bike had been taken from outside my house. It was there at 0615 when I left, and not there when I got back. The wall bracket that it was locked to had been unscrewed, so somewhere there's my bike with a Kryptonite lock and wall-mount attached to it. Anyone had any luck recovering stolen bikes?

I'd like to think there's a special circle of hell reserved for people who nick bikes.

Then I went inside and there was a hole in my kitchen ceiling from where some plumbers have been round to try and find a leak coming from our shower upstairs. Looks like they're going to have to take the entire shower out and re-tile the whole wall.

Should have hammered those ball bearings into the anchor bolts. They don't really work otherwise, as you just found out....
