Segway Rallying

If I remember correctly, someone mentioned on here that they where going segway rallying. My mum has a load of tesco vouchers that she said me and my brother could use, so we came up with the idea of segway rallying.
Always wanted a go on a segway, and seen as it would be practically free, seems like the best option!
Anyone done it, or heard anything about it?

Not sure if the exact same one, but something along those lines. The one on the tesco website said it had several placed around the country you could do it.Cat With No Tail wrote:It was Gazlar.

Killed to death you say? That doesn't sound good.0 -
Hellooooo
yeah I went this morning, In Daventry. Let's just say, it COULD be fantastic, but don't go to Daventry to do it. Looking at YouTube there's one somewhere in Hampshire which looks pretty good
anyway what I mean is the segway itself is great fun, I want one if I could have one to go to work on I would, but what was bad was you got 5 minutes tuition round some cones, which is fine, you pick it up easily, but then you got ten laps around a minute long at most loop track on grass/rubber mats
on which there was only two places you were allowed to overtake, and you had to tell the person you were overtaking!!
The family that were there also paid 40 quid each for what turned out to be 35 mins in total, I got it for 25 quid each fortunately so it wasn't too bad in that repect. It was also booked up months in advance so be prepared for that. I used a company called seghire
who I booked through treatme.net. From what I've seen on YouTube the Hampshire site looks more off road, and more like you can race there. Ours felt more like a segway taster session. It's worth a go, but it's worth making sure you get a good place to do it to get value for money
I'll pop up my very shaky head cam footage tommorrow for you0 -
Cheers Gazlar!
Unfortunately looks like Daventry would be the location it would be done at, as my family is based in Northampton, and the Tesco website said they did it in Northamptonshire, which I'm guessing would mean it would be the Daventry one.
Like I said, should work out for free with the Tesco vouchers, so might be worth a punt anyway!
You should have popped into Leisure Lakes while you where in Daventry!0 -
If it's going to be free then go for it, just remember I had to book two months in advance. It's a nice simple way into it. It appears go ape have a segway run at theyford which looks cool might have to pop down there for my next go0

They run Segways trails at Haldon Forest down in Devon- looks quite funny to see them on the MTB trails- especially when they hit mud....
Turns out Segway + deep mud= person in mud!
Have fun!Wheeze..... Gasp..... Ruddy hills.......0 -
Yeah but that also applies for mountain biking!
Mountain Bike + Deep Mud + Spd's = Person in mud
Well in my case anyway
Will have a word with my brother and see if I can get him to book it up soon, might see if we can get to another one apart from Daventry and hopefully it will be a decent experience.0 -

I went about 3 weeks ago. Really good fun and would recommend it to anyone.
Takes abit to get use to but as soon as you have the hang of it you have them wheel spinning and drifting haha.
Ours where about 45mins and tbh, I could have done to have done another 30 mins as Id just got the hang of it.0 -
Cheers for the video Gazlar.
Like you said, does seem like it is just riding round a field. Still looks like a lot of fun though!
Might have to make a trip to this one, looks more like rallying to me:
