Cannot believe it's still working

Was looking for our home phone downstairs handset yesterday, and after an internal call from the upstairs phone, found it in the washing machine after going through a white wash. Amazingly, it was still working straight out of the machine, but the screen was blank. Not a desperate problem as we could switch handsets between upstairs and downstairs, but decided to take the battery out and dry both on a radiator.
Came home this evening, and put the battery back in, and it's fine. Screen working fine, no signs of any moisture in it at all!!
So, for a good quality phone, that will last a cycle in the washing machine, I can highly recommend the Siemens SL565!!! It's sparkling clean now too, and has saved me forking out £80 on a replacement handset.
If only everything electrical could withstand the same treatment!!!

It's not called ''washing cycle'' for nothing, then?0 -
My Ford Focus keys have been through the wash a couple of times now, amazed they still work but then it is a Meile machine so perhaps quality tells in the endNorfolk, who nicked all the hills?
