Specialized Hotrock problem....

Hi all,
I bought this bike just a few months ago and to date my son has found it excellent in every way.
That is until today when the roller chain guide decided to lock up, to the point where my son could hardly turn the cranks.
To be honest, upon arrival of the bike it was the only component that seemed to lack a quality feel whilst I was building it, and it looks like I've been proved right unfortunately.
The bike rarely goes off road save the odd rutted farm track, and is well looked after.
Anyone else experienced similar problems ?
Cheers,
Mark.

Best to pop it back to where you bought it from, phone them first though, shops are busy busy busy on the run up to Christmas.
You say you built the bike up yourself, if this is the case, your warranty is void and you will probably have to pay for any remedial work.
Hotrocks are very very popular bikes, and I've never heard of the chain device causing any problems.
Call the shop you bought it from, and see if they can help.0
