You'll probably notice a big change switching the wheels, but changing groupset won't have a massive effect on your riding.

However, Record is a bit lighter than Veloce, but they'll both shift cogs as well as each other if they're properly set up. What you will notice is much nicer feeling shifting. Plus your bike will be much more bling. So it comes down to your pride really - do you want one of the best groupsets money can buy?

Personally I see 11 vs 10 speed as a bit of a Spinal Tap gimmick though.

I've got Chorus 11 speed, don't believe people who say it's a gimmick. It's not just an extra gear, it's 11 different gears. I would change the wheels first and then the groupset but if you are a Campag fan it would be mad not to upgrade to 11 speed which gives you a choice of Athena, Chorus, Record and Super Record.
  • 11 speed is nice as it allows you to have more gears "straight through" i.e. one tooth differential between gears, even allowing 11-21 straight through which would be superb for racing and hard training.

depends if you do that sort of riding. a 2 tooth jump halfway down a cassette isn't nice but isn't a big deal unless you're racing, TTing or training really hard. You have to be a fairly advanced cyclist to get the benefit from this.
