    Spending £900 on clinchers ?

Sounds like you want ultimate performance - so that would be tubs surely ?

The 2010 303's got a fantastic review this year. Not 50mm rims but depends on what you are doing most often - if mixing alot of climbing on typical rides, they may be just the ticket. Not sure if they are coming through second hand yet.

The 50mm dura-ace wheels don't seem to receive the same level of adulation as their CL24 brethren.

  • I want clinchers as i want to use them for sportives and just general rides as well as TT's etc.

I was looking at the new 2011 cosmic carbone SL's which are slightly cheaper but would prefer the zipps.

Zipp were recently doing some 404's for about £900. They were basically '08 spec wheels so didn't have the dimpled rims, think the hubs were slightly different to current 404's too.

    Wheelbase had them in stock.

I've a mate who will be looking to sell a brand new pair of 2010 Zipp 303 clinchers for £1000. They will never have been riden and are coming with his new Tri bike. He can't get the bike supplied with a 404 and 1080 tubs that he wants so he is looking to sell the 303 as soon as the bike is unpacked and swap out for a 404/1080 tubular combo.
