Is this too much?

I would like some opinions on whether this programme would be considered 'overtraining':
During the week, I would wake up at 6am and go on a two and a half mile run. Then, at lunch I would spend 30 mins on the turbo (don't have time to go out ). I would do this four days a week.
Then I would have an 18-20 mile ride on Saterday and Sunday. (unless it's a club ride on Sunday, then it could be 40 miles)
I've been doing the running for 1 week now without any cycling and I am worried I'll lose all my cycling specific muscle and power etc, so I need to incorporate cycling into my regime and 30 mins turbo is the easiest way to do this, but would running and turbo be overtraining?
P.S.
The reason I need to run is because I need to up my fitness alot for a mountaineering trip to Scotland in February - (Climbing and walking with a heavy pack etc.) I don't think cycling alone will build up the right muscle for these things.
Thanks

Depending on your experience and age, I wouldn't say this is excessive.
Do you not have any time in the evening ever to do a longer turbo session?
Some more variation might be good, and it's pretty tough running at 6am 4 days a week.0 -
That sounds like a warm up to some proper exercise0

OK, That's good, I just shudder at the thought of overtraining and not being able to exercise at all for any length of time. In the evening the only things on my mind are food, tv and bed  but I could get off my ass and do an hour of intervals on the turbo. I just feel more motivated during the day.
Yeh, getting up at 6am and running is pure hell for the first 10 minutes but I have a mate with me (which is great for motivation) because he's going on the trip as well and he's less fit than me!
Should I do more then? I'm up for it but I'm a novice and don't know whats too much or too little. I'm not that fit so a little seems like a lot if you know what I mean. But the motivations defo there to do some more training.0 -
If your building up for a mountaineering trip I would suggest you need to focus on building up endurance/ stamina - not sure lots of 30 min runnning/cycling sessions would be the best basis for this.0

What would you do? I'm in full time education at the moment. So 30 mins is the most practical. Would fewer but longer sessions be better?0
