Greetings crudites...
It's stupid o' clock on Thursday morning and I am wide awake, no idea why I decided to wake up at 5AM!
So, what's on your agenda today? My day starts with me crawling back into bed and trying to get another hour or so of sleep... then I'll make the rest of the day up as it progresses, the joys of working from home..

    Gale force winds today!
Got a night ride planned which should be a giggle. Have sold the Bfe and the new frames all built up, so itching to get out despite the cack weather.

    Day of meh........

Bright side - mate is coming over from Australia this w.end :)
  • Final nightshift finished and celebratory McDonalds breakfast going down well

Now for five days off, hopefully I'll be able to get some riding in :D
  • 9 till 4 at uni, doing electronics in the morning (fun cause its making things) and product analysis in the afternoon (not so fun cause it feels like 2 hours of my life ebbing away), with all the gaps in between taken up with model making using blue foam, and a small amount of eating.

    Holy Moly it's windy out.

Changed my mind about a 5.30 ride when i realised it was too windy for the guls to take off and our usually adventurous border terrier refused to set foot outside.

Confirmed this decision when I managed to get definite 'air' driving the panda over the Orwell bridge. The sudden sensation of flying at 70mph was slightly disturbing.

Work today is a day of MEH. First meeting starts at 9.00 and finishes at 13.00, next one starts at 14.00 and will finish when the first person falls asleep.
Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.

    Who are you calling inbred?
  • I'm hungover, I have peer review of a paper next week, so probably should get started on that. Instead, i'm doping around on the couch, being lazy and playing XBOX. Student life eh.

More crap. Today is really going to drag. I have got CS5 to play with, but that just means a whole day of resetting all my add-ons, scripts, key bindings, print settings.

I am going out on the bike tonight regardless of the weather, I'm getting withdrawal symptoms.

    Good Morning Freaks!

Today, I am mostly annoyed with Royal Fail (again!) :x

Get a card through the door on Tuesday, for a package to be signed for. No problem. Pop into the collection office on my way to work, being there at two minutes past eight as they are supposed to open at 08:00. At 08:10, the jobsworth opens the office up, by which time, there's quite a queue. Hand over the card and off he goes searching through the parcels. Comes back and asks if I've requested alternative delivery? Erm, would I be at the collection office if I had? Off he goes searching again. Still no parcel. He then phones the Postman who delivered the card and the pair of them start searching. at 08:30, I said I had to leave to go to work, so left them with a contact number and a photo-copy of the card.

Thing is, I'm not sure what the package is - could be my battery returned from Homer's Double or my uber-pimptastic jockey wheels, so couldn't give them a description of what it could be.

And I've had to fetch my own coffee. :(

The only consolation I have for today is that I've got some snack sized pork pies to munch and my Superstar skewers should arrive at the office today.

    GOOOOOOOOD MORNING LURKERS!

    *groan*

Excellent turn out on the Chase last night, especially on Ye Olde Followe Ye Dogge trail where it was like a Sunday afternoon in places. Not so busy on the North side where it was quieter than a church mouse, just me and the deer. Maximum ace :D

No minions about yet today? Shame.

Welcome to Royal Mail though, the biggest bunch of inept apes to call themselves shippers.

I woke up with a partially dislocated hip and a partially dislocated shoulder, so I'm struggling to walk and my shoulder hurts. I've discovered that my eczema cream has the brilliant side effect of removing my ability to sweat, so I'm overheating when I do anything remotely physical, like riding the 5 minutes to uni. And I've just spent 35 minutes at uni completely failing a test at uni because every movement caused my hip or shoulder to hurt again.

Rant over. Fuck today, it's a piece of shit and it's only 10am.

Have you thought about just evolving the power of you mind so much, you can do stuff just with a thought? I tihnk that's the way forward for you Chris.

Also, given the weather, just bike in shorts. That'll stop the sweating.

Boring work today, then an early night so I can get up at 5am to head off to watch the WRC :D
  • MY goodness, someone turned on nature's wind tunnel today. My condolences to all those who commute on anything with two wheels and Smart Cars. It's days like this when I am glad that I drive a Land Rover which is has the aerodynamics of a brick but has the weight not to be knocked about by the wind!
  • The strong to gale force southwesterly winds increasing to severe gale force this afternoon and then reaching storm force this evening with gusts to 80mph in places, causing some disruption and damage.!

So maybe not going for a ride again tonight then.

Had a comedy moment in the car at lunchtime. I was driving on the coast road, when an enormous wave engulfed the entire car, it was awesome!

Have it but still to install it so a bit pointless me even commenting on it.

Just waiting on lunch getting delivered. Ham and cheese empanadas. Having one of those days where I am missing my bike. Hopefully soon...

I like it. The layout and workspaces seem a big improvement - at least on CS3... If I wasn't using that wrongly...

Content aware Phil (Adobe's latest employee) in Photoshop CS5 is worth looking into, although it's not half as good as they played it up to be.

With the videos of 'oh look you can remove that entire person and bench and trees and pylon just by picking you nose and flicking the gains at the screen'?
