Dumb?..........and DUMBER!

In a recent 'survey' hosted by t.v.s QI team, they set out to find the 'dimmest' town in the U.K.
apparently it turns out to be Swindon, 50 people from 17 towns were asked seemingly straightforward questions such as.......how many 'legs' does an octopus have?

quote: an octopus is a cephalopod mollusc in the order octopoda. Octopuses have two eyes and four pairs of ARMS

    Doh indeed.

    Not sure if Swindon is the dimmest town or not, but my brother lives in Swindon so I'd probably on balance say yes!
    Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.

    In fairness I would have answered 8. Whether they were are arms or legs I wouldn't have had a clue

    Presumably when they read this report Octopusses (Octopi?) across Swindon slapped one of their two arms to their foreheads in dispair (whilst crossing their six legs).

    Can't you apply for a company based somewhere nice?

    Dell have a base in Bratislava (I used to teach in their building), that could be a good laugh for a year, and there are some fantastically steep hills for you to ride your bike up. Not to mention those lovely Bratislavska women.
