Any Cinelli owners?

Sorry to come up with another 'what bike' thread but I am a little stuck for reviews and as usual the search function never throws up quite what you want to see.
I am on the Halfords cycle to work scheeme and am looking for a road bike that will be mainly used through winter for club runs and 'fast' rides to work. I have no requirement for full guards as I will make do with the new crud ones which are getting great reviews.
Due to the fact I am looking for a winter bike I wanted to go for Alu frame as opposed to carbon (not sure if this is needed) and have been suggested the cinelli xperience which does look nice. http://www.cinelli.it/scripts/prodotti.php?Id=1&lang=EN&IdBici=453
I can't get Ribble, Planet X, Focus, Pinnacle and Bianchi bikes either.
Has anyone else recently purchased anything around the £1000 mark of other makes I should look out for?
I appreciate this is a duplicate theread but it is specific to me so any help is appreciated.
Ben

I think there's a few people on here, that have bought Xperience's recently...
I can only comment on the CF frames... ad one for 15 months ish... Every ride is a joy...Start with a budget, finish with a mortgage!0 -
I have an xperience and love it, very stiff which means the ride is not the best, sharp handling, not overly twitchy, looks fab, Campag Veloce all round, I think the only thing you would really want to upgrade in time are the wheels which are not the lightest.
The best thing about it...... it's not a Trek, Cannondale, same as everyone else etc.etc.
Any questions give me a shout.0 -
Hi, I have the cinelli dinamo and am so impressed with it... I looked at the xperience but loved the colour and the carbon seat stays of the dinamo over the xperience! Veloce all round for me too which rides very nicely (first time I've ridden campag and am very impressed)!
I also got mine at halfords on the cycle2work scheme!!
Like stoo said, it's great that you will probably won't see one for ages!!
Where abouts are you getting in from? Store?0 -
I have an Xperience and really like it.
It's very stiff, handles like its on rails, but is not very compliant.
I think it'll serve you well, as long as most rides aren't over 40 miles or 2 hours.
I also think that there are better engineered aluminum bikes out there that give both a decent ride and great torsional rigidity (Caad's), but I liked the way the Xperience fit me best.0 -

How did you get the Dinamo for the £1000 mark? Not sure if your scheme is different but I can only get mine from halfords and can only get rrp which is over £1000?
I will be ordering whatever I get from Halfords over the phone and simply picking it up from the store.... ideally without them even touching it!0 -
Well i got it about a month ago and although it is the 2010 frame, the gruppo is veloce 2011! This is probably one of the only bikes from halfords where you can change components on the bike! For example I got White stem, handlebars, seatpost and White wall tyres!! Love it!!
The 2011 dinamo is a lot more though!
I do work for halfords and the dinamo is £999.99 on our system!
Anything you need I'd be happy to elo

I have also got a dinamo. I wanted an xperience but it was out of stock so they gave me the dinamo instead. I was unsure about the colour but now I love it. I told the mrs I wasn't gonna chnage anything on it but it had the worst stem angle possible for me so I had to replace that. And then obviously I needed o/s bars for the new stem. And then I pimped the bar tape half black/lower half gold. And then I changed the saddle for a cinelli one. And then.........well actually its perfect for me now!!!!!!!!
And I haven't seen another one since I got it!!!!
EDIT:Heres some pics to show off! http://www.flickr.com/photos/55119780@N ... 300585421/

Policini, that is exactly the same colour as mine! Your right I've never seen another one of them, ever!! I had that stem put on when they built it and White bar tape, seat post, handlebars etc!!
Next upgrade are some carbon cranks and a White headset!!0
