OpenMtbMap is one of the OpenStreetMap based maps for Garmin GPS's.

I have found that on my Dakota 20 some of the bridleways do not show up. I think the OpenMtbMap is great so I am trying to do the investigation so the author can fix the problem.

I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed the problem on any other models eg Oregon.

Phil.

    Hi Ricardo,

I did try that once although I can't remember what the map looks like.

Is it any good for offroad ? Does it distinguish between footpath, bridleways and byways and if they are on single track or wide track or surfaced ?

I am trying to resist the temptation to do my own Garmin map because I know its harder than it looks. OpenMtbMap is really quite good at displaying offroad routes and also the routing along them so you don't get sent down motorways if you want to abort your planned route.

OpenStreetMap data in general is fab. The data quality is exceptional around me and found it good when I did the Lon Las Cymru.

I used to like ordnance survey maps a lot but there are too many white roads with questionable access around me and it is too slow to update.
