Need to rent a car in Spain in a couple of days.

What is the smallest / cheapest car you reckon i can fit my polaris bike pod in?

Just from your regular car rental type places. Renault Modus / Megane?

Car hire prices have gone crazy in Spain. I assume your bike box is the rigid kind. We took soft bags so we could remove wheels and rent a Panda. Corsas will take the bike with the front wheel removed. We found the Belingo the most spacious for 2 complete bikes.
Have you considered paying a bit extra for a roof rack and strapping the box up top?

    Berlingo +1.

    3 guys, 3 mtb's, Geneva-Morzine, plus 3 kit bags, no probs!
If Wales was flattened out, it'd be bigger than England!

Depends how many of you are travelling, I easily fitted my bike pod, suitcase and hand luggage in a Corsa with the rear seats down with 2 people in the front last time I got a lift to the airport to go to Mallorca. Could probably have got another suitcase in if needed as well.,,,
  • Annnnd back - Berlingo disappeared from the price range annoyingly, so just went for a Focus estate, easy, but not the cheapest option.

I regularly get 3 bikes (road or MTB) and 3 bodies and all their gear in mine.
