January Sales

Just a quick question wondering if any of you have found much of a drop in bike prices in the January sales if you happen to be shopping around that time of year? I am currently in the process of signing up to the Cycle to Work Scheme and have my eyes on a Cube AMS (not any specific one as of yet as still undecided as to how much of my own money I want to put in), I asked the shop whether they believed it'd be worth holding out til Jan for the Sales,they felt there prob wouldn't be that much of a drop if any saving at all....would the 2011 Cubes be out in Jan or are the annual updates brand specific??

    dont forget the VAT goes up in Jan. to 20%

    and there are not really any Jan cycle sales as the new stuff is either already in or not arrived yet.

    Cheers Nicklouse was kind of thinking that alright, think I'll just hang on til Jan and see then when get xmas over me, and in Southern Ireland as well so our VAT is 21%, oh to be at 20%!!

    I think retailers do everything they can to keep things moving but January is January and everybody's skint.

    Have had my eye on a Whyte 19 since earlier this year, it has already been reduced £350 and the shop will crack before I do :wink:

    Best thing to do is go shopping with an open mind. My Rize was £999 post-Xmas 2008, down from £1599.
