If you are making flapjacks, you need to take the oats out of the packet first!

Badly etc - how do you stop the damn things from crumbling?! Every time I make them, no matter how much I vary the proportions, they always end up back in component form!

the sugar is the key really

    i use

    500g oats - plain asda stuff :)
    250g margarine
    180g Brown sugar

chuck in a few handfuls of raisins nuts etc

oven 180deg for 20min, cut then leave it for an hour to harden up then remove it from the tray :)

@shutuplegs...no that tray will do me a loooong time :)

    works everytime :)

One way of making it moister that should appeal to cyclists is to add mushed-up bananas to the flapjack mix. More energy, fewer crumbs...

EDIT: Radioactiveman's link backs me up bananawise. 8)
  • Oats, butter, golden syrup, chopped nuts, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract

half fill the tray, then put a big layer of jam on, then another layer of oat mixture, then bake.

    Just mmmmmmmmmmm

    :D

Can't say I'm a big fan of bacon. For me it would have to have loads of butter and tomato ketchup to make it edible.
  • I suppose it is apposite that the recipe for flapjacks appears in the Cake Stop forum, but has it really come to this? Bike Radar and we are swapping recipes?

    MTFU!

Nice biccies btw... I'll take two dozen thanks.
