Any one make their own brew?
Just trying to make a ginger beer... alcoholic of course... that doesn't taste of pop like Crabbies. But I've not really done much brewing before. Looking down upon my yeast population from my Godly pedastal... I think I may have killed them all. I might have cast a great famine upon them but I'm not sure.
Q: How do you revive a once thriving population?

I used to brew quite a bit of wine but it lacked the finesse of bought wine and no matter what it was, it all tasted pretty much the same.
Much more success with beer - Young's Titanic is mental and the aroma of a freshly-pulled pint is irresistable.0 -
ooh i love a good dark brothy ale. Not a big wine fan. But the idea of creating something dark and mysterious with hops and grain is a bit much for me right now, so... Ginger and chili wort, brown sugar and honey, a teaspoon of yeast...
It actually wasn't as bad as i thought. The yeast is very slowly doing it's thing.0
