Dodgy sounding fork????HELP

I have a Scott Scale with a set of Rock Shox Dart 2's on, but cant help think something is wrong as when i apply pressure to the fork they make a dodgy, tinny sound. Is this normal? It is only when the fork is being compressed or on rebound, cant really tell when. Any help or suggestions as to a cure would be a great help!!!

Difficult to say really, but my guess it is the spring hitting the insides of the stanchion. You can remedy it by removing the sping and putting a section of inner tube around the middle section of it.
