I'm off out for a drink. I still feel miserable so I fancy drowning my sorrows.

Tonight is also full of doing nothing.

Went to Tesco earlier and got some of those nutty seedy bites which I am now addicted to but have none left, I can see myself stopping off and getting some tomorrow if I go riding

I assume this is French petrol - be careful in reverse - the car will retreat rapidly at the least provocation.

    Goood evening Freaks!

Just scoffed a pizza the size of a dustbin lid. Now watching Anne Widdicombe making an ar5e of herself on Strictly Come Dancing.

Today has been spent mostly doing manly type stuffs: Checked the oil/water/screenwash etc on the Cakemobile. Took apart and then rebuilt the front of Vin's Golf. Then removed 7g of an XTR Shadow Rear Mech - but it's not finished yet. Then sorted out the lights on the commuter.

Tonight will either be lazy or visit from the f...kbuddy, depending if she can get over or not.

Cannock at 7am for a ride tomorrow.

Food: Salad and a rib of pork.

  • I slow cooked oxtail for supper today and devoured some of it about an hour ago.
Tonight is a quiet night in, so I may dig into my Server and see if there are any movies I haven't yet watched. If not, I may dig out Blade Runner on DVD and give it a watch as TV is totally pants tonight..
  • Blade runner is on BBC3 later.
  • Blade runner is on BBC3 later.

I am aware of that :D but it's very late and I don't know if it's the original with Deckard's narration or one of the "Editor Cut" versions.
  • I've just got back from a nice long 5 hour ride, consisting of over 2000 vertical metres and a mega downhill section, which I have to say, has made me fall in love with my bike. Much faster than a hardtail, and much comfier, but has made me want to get a set of spds with a platform around them so I have a bit more underfoot support as that much stress on the small amount of space of a an spd pedal was a bit intense.

Gonna mong on the couch with the xbox, as the mrs' cousin is here, and they are doing girlie things.
  • Time for more "Ultimate Force" I think. Up to the last series now.
  • apparently its the final cut of Bladerunner if that helps.

not a film I have ever watched, is it any good?
  • Yes it's very good. Certainly a film I'd recommend watching.

    Is there a new series?
  • Cheers, will give it a go sometime.

I think the Final Cut was the best of the lot as there's a lot more visual content than there was in the original and/or Editor's Cut versions.
I actually have all three versions on DVD and the Final Cut came with an amazing documentary on the making of the film and gave a lot of insight on the choice of the actress to play "Pris" as amazingly Darryl Hannah wasn't Rildey Scott's first choice for the part.
Also Philip K Dick features in the documentary too, the most revealing part was that all those futuristic cars were based on VW Beetle chassis!

Definitely well worth waiting up for as it's on fairly late, or recording on the PVR if you've not seen that version
  • OK, i suppose Ridley Scott cannot be argued with. If its anything like Aliens or Terminator then it will go down well.
  • was going to go out and have a couple of beers, however, noone is about now and it would involve me sitting in the boozer on my own like a saddo.

So am watching X-Factor, going to pop round shop and purchase some 'crap' - chocs, cokes and other shite foodstuffs... bladerunner sounds good.. although I have seen in 20 times and I own it on DVD...

Still undecided what pedals for the Giant to get - the M520s are still leading the way... although that would mean buying some new shoes as well... god, when does the spending end????

Not that I'm aware of. Got the box set a couple of Christmases ago, it gets dug out every so often when the TV is shite (much like tonight).

I've got it as well, just haven't watched it in a while, really should.

I miss Ultimate Force, was probably my fave thing on ITV
  • Just got back from being out on the South Downs Way testing out my new lights, totally knackered due to the super sticky yet somehow slippery mud and the crap tyres I've got. Missus has just served up a superb home made lasagne, salad & garlic bread, now tucking in to a nice bottle of red and feeling Gooood....:) Might go on Borderlands later (if I can stay awake)
